French Landing

The French Landing power station is an 1,800-kilowatt hydroelectric generating station located on the Huron River near the town of Belleville, Michigan. The facility is equipped with one vertical Francis turbine unit which produces more than 7 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy in a typical year. The French Landing facility achieved commercial operation in 1988 and operates under a license from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC Project No. 9951) that was issued in 1987.
