Fox River

The Dayton power station is a 3,700-kilowatt hydroelectric generating station located on the Fox River near the town of Dayton, Illinois. The facility is equipped with three vertical turbine-generator units. The facility produces approximately 18 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy in a typical year. The Dayton facility began commercial operation in 1979 and operates under a license from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC Project No. 287) that is valid until 2035.
