Cascade Powerhouse, Dam, and Fishway

Eagle Creek owns two facilities on the Thornapple River in southern Michigan, generating over 12 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy each year.

Ada

The Ada power station is a 1,400-kilowatt hydroelectric generating station located on the Thornapple River near the town of Ada, Michigan. The facility is equipped with a single Vertical Kaplan turbine unit. The facility produces more than 5 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy in a typical year. The Ada facility was originally built in 1926 by the Michigan Water Company but was significantly rehabilitated in 1984. Ada operates under an Exemption from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC Project No. 3607) that was issued in 1982.

The Cascade power station is a 1,600-kilowatt hydroelectric generating station located on the Thornapple River near the town of Grand Rapids, Michigan. The facility is equipped with a single Vertical Kaplan turbine unit. The facility produces approximately 7 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy in a typical year. The Cascade facility was commissioned in 1986 and operates under an Exemption from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC Project No. 6228) that was issued in 1984.
