Phoenix

The Phoenix power station is a 3,240-kilowatt hydroelectric generating station located on the Oswego River in the town of Phoenix, New York. The facility houses two identical vertical Kaplan type siphon turbine units with the capacity to produce approximately 11 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy in a typical year. The Phoenix facility began commercial operation in 1990 and operates under a license from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC Project No. 4113) that is valid until 2026.
