Neshonoc

LaCrosse River

The Neshonoc power station is a 420-kilowatt hydroelectric generating station located on the LaCrosse River near the town of LaCrosse, Wisconsin. The facility is equipped with two Leffel turbine units. The facility produces approximately 2 million kilowatt-hours of clean energy in a typical year. The Neshonoc facility began commercial operation in 1914 and operates under an exempt license from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC Project No. 6476).
