Luray - Powerhouse and Dam

PE Hydro is a portfolio of seven run-of-river operating hydroelectric assets with a total capacity of 10.6 MW located in West Virginia and Virginia on the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers. The projects, which began commercial operations between 1900 and 1966, are equipped with Francis, Propeller, and Kaplan turbines in a total of 21 units across the portfolio. PE Hydro produces a long term average generation of 42,515 MWh of clean electricity annually, which is enough to power 4,088 homes.

Relicensing Information for the Warren, Luray and Newport, and Shenandoah Hydroelectric Projects

The Warren, Luray, Newport, and Shenandoah facilities operate under a license issued by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). PE Hydro Generation, LLC is the licensee for the facilities. The facilities’ current licenses expire December 31, 2023.
