NOTICE: Please be advised that due to low flows and anticipated dry conditions upstream of the Reusens Hydroelectric Project, the levels of the Reusens impoundment will fluctuate through the end of 2023 more than normal during this time of year. Eagle Creek Reusens will maintain higher impoundment elevations on weekends and Federal holidays to facilitate use of the Monacan Park boat ramp. Impoundment levels will be lower on weekdays and may affect the usability of the Monacan Park boat ramp, so users should be cautious.
Eagle Creek operates the Reusens Project in accordance with the current Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) license to generate needed electricity within Federal regulations. The FERC license allows the impoundment to fluctuate up to 4 feet in elevation – from a normal maximum water surface elevation of 550.9 feet (NAVD88) to a minimum elevation of 546.29 feet (NAVD88). Levels of the impoundment will fluctuate on a daily and seasonal basis due to weather conditions and electricity generation. Eagle Creek recognizes the importance of keeping shoreline residents and recreational users updated about current conditions and will be providing additional information on impoundment levels on this web site in the near future.
