Eagle Creek Renewable Energy has acquired a 50 percent partnership interest in South Fork II Associates Limited Partnership which owns the Weeks Falls hydroelectric station on the South Fork Snoqualmie River in Washington State. Built in 1987, Weeks Falls is a 4.8 megawatt facility that delivers approximately 13 million kilowatt-hours of clean electricity to Puget Sound Energy and its customers, avoiding over 10,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions each year.

The acquisition marks Eagle Creek’s first operation in the Pacific Northwest. Eagle Creek and its partner will continue to operate the facility to provide a safe, reliable source of energy and preserve the ecological and recreational resources of the river.
